What is probably the world’s most luxurious automobile event took place on the shores of beautiful Lake Como last month. The Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza, which has taken place on this gorgeous shoreline since 1929, is a true festival of aesthetic design.
Thanks to an invitation from A. Lange amp; Souml;hne, the event’s co-main sponsor, I was able to peruse the 56 beautiful historic automobiles on show throughout the weekend. However, right from the start of the first day, it became fairly apparent that Ralph Lauren’s Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic Coupeacute; was going to steal the (best of) show and win first prize. Which it did.
